Hyderabad: Lovebirds Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt are the latest Bollywood celebrities to hop a Maldives bound flight. The couple was spotted at Mumbai airport on Monday morning before they flew to the holiday destination.
Alia, who had been battling COVID-19 over the past weeks, tested negative on April 14. Ranbir too had contracted the virus and recovered from it later last month. After recovering from the novel coronavirus, Alia and Ranbir have headed off for a romantic getaway.

On Monday morning, the couple was snapped at the Mumbai airport as they were off to the Maldives amid lockdown. The duo was seen twinning in white as they left town in the midst of escalating coronavirus pandemic spikes.

Alia was busy shooting for Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Gangubai Kathiawadi when she fell sick. Apart from Gangubai Kathiawadi, Alia's kitty is full with upcoming projects like Ayan Mukerji's adventure Brahmastra, Baahubali director SS Rajamouli's RRR and Karan Johar's multistarrer Takht. The 28-year-old actor is all set to turn producer, too, with Darlings, a mother-daughter drama also featuring herself alongside Shefali Shah. Alia co-produces the film with Shah Rukh Khan.

Meanwhile, Ranbir has Brahmastra and Karan Malhotra directed Shamshera coming up next. Shamshera is an action drama co-starring Sanjay Dutt and Vaani Kapoor, and is produced by Yash Raj Films. He also has Sandeep Reddy Vanga's gangster drama Animal for which he is yet to begin the shoot.
