Prayagraj (Uttar Pradesh): The All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) is gearing up to contest the Uttar Pradesh assembly elections in 2022 with full strength. Leaders of the party in Prayagraj are busy connecting with workers till the booth level. Party president and Member of Parliament Asaduddin Owaisi will visit Prayagraj in September during the course of which he will check electoral preparations and energise party workers.
Owaisi was initially supposed to hold a programme here August 17 and all preparations were completed. However, because of floods and Muharram in the city, the programme was postponed. Now, with the threat of floods over, the party leaders have again started preparations for Owaisi's programme.
According to the AIMIM mandal spokesperson, there will be a meeting between the party's Uttar Pradesh unit president and Owaisi during which the date for the latter's visit will be decided. The spokesperson expressed the hope Owaisi's visit will take place within the first or second week of September. During the visit, Owaisi will not only energise the party workers, but will also show them the way to success in the assembly elections.

As of now, AIMIM is working to have party workers right up to the booth level. Party leaders are connecting with the people and sharing with them the policies of AIMIM.
According to the party leaders, since AIMIM is going to fight the elections with full strength, they will need workers till booth level at the time of the elections.
Party leaders say that it is very important for other parties to have an alliance with AIMIM to defeat the BJP in the assembly elections. They believe no party can stop BJP without allying with Owaisi. That is why parties like Samajwadi Party and Bahujan Samaj Party should forge an alliance with AIMIM. The party leaders feel the alliance formed by parties without AIMIM is not an alliance but a “thugbandhan” (alliance of cheats), which cannot stop the BJP from coming back to power in Uttar Pradesh.
