Punjab: Sharpshooter Deepak Mundi, believed to be the other main accused in the Sidhu Moosewala murder case, has been arrested by the Punjab Police. The Anti Gangster Task Force (AGTF) and Special Task Force (STF) were active in Amritsar's border area Attari since Tuesday morning.
The police were searching for Mundi across three states in a special operation for the past few days. The three sharpshooters who killed Moosewala, Priyavrat Fauji, Ankit Sersa, and Kashish alias Kuldeep, have been caught. On the other hand, Jagroop Roopa and Manpreet Mannu Kussa were killed by the Punjab Police in an encounter in Amritsar earlier this month.

Anti Gangster Task Force (AGTF) of Punjab Police disclosed on Friday that they have got an important tip about Mundi's location. Following this, the police teams launched an intensive search operation in Punjab, Haryana, and Rajasthan. According to the Punjab police, Mundi was the last absconding shooter and accused in the Moosewala killing case.
However, gangster Goldy Brar, the alleged mastermind of the singer's murder, had recently stated on social media that a total of eight shooters were involved in the case. The Punjab police in its revised list have given a clean chit to two people, bringing the number of shooters down from eight to six. The director general of police (DGP) said, "The department is making efforts to extradite Canada-based Goldy Brar, who claimed responsibility for the murder."
