The scourge of the COVID 19 pandemic may have stopped the country on its tracks ever since the announcement of the nationwide lockdown from March 24, 2020, but some things never stopped—like the incessant smuggling of Chinese gold from Myanmar or the smuggling of dried betel nut (supari) or deadly drugs and opiates. Congress MP KC Venugopal on Sunday asked the Centre to reconsider the two agriculture sector bills and alleged that its motive is to give a push to the corporate sector.
