2. 00:08 RB Leipzig coach Julian Nagelsmann arrives
3. 00:23 SOUNDBITE (German): Julian Nagelsmann, Leipzig head coach:
(team news after the winter break)
"In terms of personnel, it looks normal, nothing surprising. With Kevin, with Willi, with Ibu, the three are still long-term injuries. Then we had over ten days of preparation some more problems, especially health problems, not the most typical of sports injuries but rather a few problems with winter colds. But now everybody is back. Except for Emil (Forsberg), who can't train today, he hasn't trained the whole week because he had a tough cold and had to take antibiotics for three days to prevent it from getting worse. But the inflammation values are also on the way to recovery but still increased. Klosti (Lukas Klostermann) was not there yesterday because he is sick. But today was recovering again, so he will be back and will be available again on Saturday. Otherwise there is nothing unusual to report."
3. 01:26 SOUNDBITE (German): Julian Nagelsmann, Leipzig head coach:
(on Stefan Ilsanker)
"As things stand now he stays (Ilsanker). On the position we have, if you look at the squad, we do not have an abundance of players. So he has made a good number of games in the first half and if we don't find an adequate replacement, he will stay here. If we find an adequate replacement, we will discuss it."
4. 01:47 SOUNDBITE (German): Julian Nagelsmann, Leipzig head coach:
(on transfer activity)
"You can see our other transfer activities from the offers we have handed in. We have handed in offers for three players and haven't picked one up yet. We don't necessarily have to get one, but we still need the professionalism and balance to see if we can find something in one position or another."
5. 02:06 SOUNDBITE (German): Julian Nagelsmann, Leipzig head coach:
"(Diego Demme) He is of course from his mentality someone who always goes to the limits, who has run 12.5-kilometres every game and tried to take the reins of action and was a formative figure. Nevertheless, one must applaud him for the transfer, applaud also ourselves, that we have agreed to it. You can see that the football industry does not always act only according to what it is said to do."
6. 03:08 SOUNDBITE (German): Julian Nagelsmann, Leipzig head coach:
(on their first leg of their Bundesliga meeting against Union Berlin)
"The respect for Union Berlin is as great as it was for the first leg. If you look at the first few minutes, Union was no worse then in the first leg. We then did very, very well, but they also stable. It's a team that doesn't allow many chances, they are not particularly susceptible to counterattacks, they poses extraordinary power and are very strong physically. They are incredibly strong in headers, and in many positions, and have already scored several goals. They have very clear processes in the offensive. They often have a lot of players in the opposing box, on the crosses, which is not easy to defend. And, like I said, they have a good structure and little distance even in defence. I think my colleague has already said that they are not cannon fodder, like no other team in the league."
7. 04:22 SOUNDBITE: (German) Julian Nagelsmann, Leipzig head coach:
"It's better to be two points ahead than two points behind. I don't give a shit about the autumn champion title, I tell you that honestly. I'm glad that we got the points and I'm glad that we can reach the goals in all competitions. But unfortunately the race is only over when the flag is there or the 34th day of play is whistled off, whoever will whistle us there. And then we'll see how well we've done."

STORYLINE:
The Bundesliga returns from its winter break this weekend with Leipzig in first place, the favorite to break Bayern Munich's dominace.
Few German fans love Bayern's financial clout or its tendency to cherry-pick top talent, but they're not warming to Leipzig either. Opposing fans regularly hold up protest banners against energy drink giant Red Bull, the engine behind Leipzig's success.
Besides Leipzig and Bayern, Borussia Mönchengladbach is also in the chase for the title and has become the neutrals' darling.
Created barely a decade ago, Leipzig is creating its traditions as it goes along. Its success this season is built on the Bundesliga's youngest squad, relentless attacking play and 18 goals from forward Timo Werner.
