In view of China's imperialist attitude, India is rapidly laying a network of roads in its border areas. The Darma Valley along the China border will soon be connected by a road which will ease the mode of transport for all the 14 villages of Darma valley and the security forces will need less time to reach the border. Meanwhile, Indian engineers have played a marvellous role in the construction of a road up to Dugtu village.

Pithoragarh (Uttarakhand): The Darma Valley along the China border will soon be connected by road. Central Public Works Department (CPWD) has completed road cutting work in Darma Valley. Moreover, six out of the seven bridges have already been constructed.

After the monsoon, Hotmix work will also be initiated.

The completion of this road construction work will ease the mode of transport for all the 14 villages of Darma valley and the security forces will need less time to reach the border.

After constructing a road up to Lipulekh in Vyas Valley, road cutting work has been completed up to Dugtu village in Darma Valley adjoining China.

Dugtu village is close to China's Gyanima Mandi. Indian engineers faced a lot of difficulties while constructing the New Sobla-Dharma road to reach Dugtu village.

The Darma Valley along the China border will soon be connected by road

From a strategic point of view, this road is also important as after the Tibetan market Taklakot, China has a strategic location near Gyanima Mandi.

Bidang is a village close to the China border in the Darma Valley. But no one lives in this village anymore so the population here is zero.

Before Bidang the population of Dantu, Tidang, Marcha and Sipu is inhabited.

Indian engineers have played a marvellous role in the construction of a road up to Dugtu village.
