Don't politicise vaccine says Chhattisgarh governor

Speaking to ETV Bharat, Chhattisgarh governor Anusuiya Uikey said, "Covid-19 vaccine has arrived in the country earlier than expected, now we will get rid of this pandemic soon. However, we still need to take precautions to deal with this pandemic."

Chhindwara (Madhya Pradesh): The Chhattisgarh governor Anusuiya Uikey requested political leaders not to politicise the issue of the Covid vaccine. Notably, Uikey spoke to ETV Bharat during her visit to Madhya Pradesh's Chhindwara on Thursday.

Speaking to ETV Bharat, Governor Uikey said, "Covid-19 vaccine has arrived in the country earlier than expected, now we will get rid of this pandemic soon. However, we still need to take precautions to deal with this pandemic."

"People should not believe baseless statements made by political leaders on Covid vaccines. Such sensitive issues should not be politicised. It would be better for the country and the economy if more people would get vaccinated. Making Covid vaccine is one of the greatest achievements of Indian scientists, so they deserve congratulations," she said.

"No vaccine belongs to any political party, they belong to humanity and the sooner we get vulnerable people vaccinated the better," she added.
