Chatra (Jharkhand): In a humanitarian gesture, the district court here has reached the house of the rape victim in order to record the statement on Friday.
According to the reports, the victim, who was allegedly raped by three persons of the same village on September 26, this year had immolated herself at her house.
She was admitted to a local hospital where her condition is said to be stable. As per the victim's lawyer, she had urged the court to reach her home as she has been critically injured in immolation after which district Judicial Magistrate Adnan Akib along with doctor Pancham Ghasi has reached the house of the victim.
During the process of recording the statement, hundreds of police personnel were deployed in the village to avoid any misconduct.
When contacted Itkhori SHO Kameshwar Prasad Choudhary, he said that the three accused involved in the incident were arrested a day after the case was registered.
