Sonipat: At least 25 students and three labourers have been injured after a portion of an under-construction rooftop collapsed at Jivanand School in Haryana's Ganaur on Thursday.
The injured have been rushed to the Community Health Center in Ganaur. The condition of five students is said to be critical and have been referred to Khanpur PGI for better medical treatment.
Police have also reached the spot and launched an investigation. According to the initial investigation, the negligence of the school administration has come to the fore.
"According to information, the roof of the school was damaged due to rain. The repairing work of the rooftop was underway. It is the fault of school management that allowed students to sit there. Strict action will be taken against the guilty," said Ganaur SDM.
