South Africa defeat England by 229 runs in lop sided contest

Defending champions England will square off against South Africa on Saturday at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. England's team is now roaring back after two defeats and would like to win this contest to stay alive in the race for the semifinals. Defending champions England were crushed by South Africa on Saturday at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai in the league fixture of the ICC Cricket World Cup. It was England's third loss in the marquee tournament and now the road to the semi final will be extremely difficult for the Jos Buttler-led side.

Mumbai (Maharashtra): South African put on a clinical show as they defeated defending champions England by massive 229 runs in a league stage game of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 at the Wankhede Stadium here.
