Vishal Dadlani warns musicians, not to remix his songs

Vishal Dadlani slammed musicians for recreating old songs and beware them of making remixes of his songs. He even called the musicians 'vultures' for not creating an original piece of music while threatening to sue them if they recreated Vishal-Shekhar's songs.

Mumbai: In the trending era of remixes, music composer Vishal Dadlani has threatened to sue musicians who dare to remix Shekhar Ravijiani and his songs.

Vishal and Shekhar's popular song Saaki from the 2004 Musafir was recently recreated in Batla House and the composer isn't too pleased with the remix business.

Vishal slammed musicians for recreating old songs calling them 'vultures' for not creating an original piece of music while threatening to sue them if they recreated Vishal-Shekhar's songs.

He even warned the musicians stating that the remixes of his songs won't be taken lightly and he won't hesitate to take the matter in court.

  • Warning: I WILL sue anyone making remixes of Vishal & Shekhar songs. I'll even move court against the films & musicians.

After Saaki Saaki, I hear upcoming bastardisations include Dus Bahaane, Deedaar De, Sajnaji Vaari Vaari, Desi Girl & more.

    Make your own songs, vultures!

The composer wrote, "Warning: I WILL sue anyone making remixes of Vishal and Shekhar songs. I'll even move court against the films and musicians. After Saaki Saaki, I hear upcoming bas***disations include Dus Bahaane, Deedar De, Sajnaji Vaari Vaari, Desi Girl and more. Make your own songs, vultures!"

He added, "Do NOT remix Vishal and Shekhar sings without our permission, due credit and remuneration. I will come for you hard, legally. Especially the musician doing it. This will become very, very personal, even if you are a friend."

Earlier, Koena Mitra too had expressed her anger over Saaki, which she had featured in, calling the Nora Fatehi recreation a 'mess'. Previously, the recreations of Ek Do Teen or Mungda got into controversies after statements from those associated with the original.

Vishal-Shekhar composed music for movies like War, Bharat and Student of the Year 2 this year. All the three albums were popular among the listeners.
