New Delhi: The 22nd meeting of the special representatives for India-China Boundary Question will be held in New Delhi on Saturday, the ministry of external affairs said on Friday.

The Indian delegation will be lead by National Security Advisor Ajit Doval while the Chinese side will be led by state counselor and foreign minister Wang Yi, the MEA said in a statement.

From the discussions in the last 21 meetings between the Special Representatives of India and China, it is clear that resolving the border dispute is a very difficult process.

However, India wants China to accept the Line of Actual Control with immediate effect so that confrontations between the armies of the two countries can be prevented.

This will be the first meeting of the special representatives between the two countries since the second informal summit between Prime Minister Modi and President Xi Jinping in India earlier this year.
