National Unity Day in India is observed on the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel on October 31, 1875. Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel was the first deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister of India. He integrated all states into one and made it into one country. Prime Minister Narendra Modi declared October 31 as National Unity Day in 2014 with a marathon - "Run for Unity."

This iconic statue, situated on the banks of the Narmada River, was inaugurated by PM Modi on the 143rd birth anniversary of Patel in 2018. The Statue of Unity holds the distinction of being the world's tallest statue and has become a prominent tourist destination in India, drawing millions of visitors annually.
