New Delhi: Social Media giant Twitter today suspended the account of the Union Minister for Law and Justice, Electronics and Information Technology and Communications, Ravi Shankar Prasad for almost an hour. Twitter cited a violation of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act of the USA (DMCA) as the reason for blocking his account for almost an hour.

However, his account was restored later. • Friends! Something highly peculiar happened today. Twitter denied access to my account for almost an hour on the alleged ground that there was a violation of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act of the USA and subsequently they allowed me to access the account. pic.twitter.com/WspPmor9Su
