Manish Tewari tests positive for COVID-19

Congress leader Manish Tewari has tested positive for COVID-19. Tewari, who is MP from Anandpur Sahib, advised all those who have been in contact with him over the past few days to stay cautious. "I have tested positive for COVID -19 today. I got up with mild fever around 2 AM last night. I got myself tested. No other symptoms are seen so far. All those who have been in contact with me over the past few days are advised to stay cautious," he said in a tweet.

Haryana Governor tests positive for Covid-19

Haryana Governor Satyadev Narayan Arya was tested positive for Covid-19 and was admitted to the Fortis Hospital on Monday. Arya, 81, had complained of chest infection. He was tested for the virus on Sunday. He is in the intensive care unit. 

"His condition is stable," a hospital official said. Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, in a tweet, wished Arya a speedy recovery. Earlier, Khattar, his deputy Dushyant Chautala, ministerial colleagues, and assembly Speaker Gian Chand Gupta had contracted the virus and recovered.

Maha: 907 new COVID-19 cases in Thane; 14 more deaths

Thane has reported 907 new cases of COVID-19, taking the tally of infections in Maharashtra district to 2,19,473, an official said on Monday.

The district also reported 14 deaths due to coronavirus on Sunday, raising the toll to 5,521, he said.

So far, 2,07,527 patients have recovered, while there are 6,425 active COVID-19 cases in the district.

New COVID-19 cases dips to 13 in Puducherry; no fresh deaths

he number of fresh COVID-19 cases in Puducherry dipped to 13 for the first time in recent months while the union territory did not report any related fatalities, a top Health department official said on Monday.

Puducherry logged only 13 fresh cases at the end of examination of 1,755 samples during the last 24 hours, Director of Health and Family Welfare S Mohan Kumar said in a release.

Arunachal Pradesh reports more COVID-19 recoveries than fresh cases

For the second consecutive day Arunachal Pradesh reported more COVID-19 recoveries than fresh cases as 79 people were cured of the disease while 20 new infections pushed the tally to 15,812, a health department official said on Monday.

With 79 more people getting cured of COVID-19, the total number of recoveries rose to 14,500.

India tests 8,61,706 samples on Nov 15

According to the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), a total of 12,56,98,525 samples have been tested up to November 15 with 8,61,706 being tested on Sunday. 

The total number of recoveries has surged to 82,49,579, pushing the national recovery rate to 93.27 per cent. The COVID-19casefatality rate stands at 1.47 per cent.

India's COVID-19 tally had crossed the 20-lakh mark on August 7,30 lakh on August 23 and 40 lakh on September 5. It went past 50 lakh on September 16, 60 lakh on September 28, 70 lakh on October 11 and crossed 80 lakh on October 29.

India records 30,548 fresh COVID-19 cases, 435 deaths

India's COVID-19 caseload mounted to 88,45,127 with 30,548 infections being reported in a day, while the number of people who have recuperated from the disease surged to 82,49,579, according to data updated by the Union health ministry on Monday.

The coronavirus death toll climbed to 1,30,070 with 435 new fatalities, the data updated at 8 am showed.

The number of active cases remained below 5 lakh for the sixth consecutive day.

9 new cases in Andaman & Nicobar Islands; tally rises to 4,536

Nine more people tested positive for COVID-19 in Andaman and Nicobar Islands, pushing the union territory's coronavirus caseload to 4,536, a health department official said on Monday.

Of the nine new cases, five were detected during contact tracing, while four have travel history, the official said.

Mizoram reports 3 fresh COVID-19 infections, active cases at 516

Three new cases of novel coronavirus were recorded in Mizoram in the last 24 hours taking the total cases to 3,396, the state health department reported on Sunday.

A total of 2,876 people were discharged in the state, after recovering from the infection. Four fatalities have been reported so far due to the deadly virus.  

There are 516 active cases of COVID-19 in the state at present, as per the state health department.

Telangana records 502 new coronavirus cases

Telangana reported 502 new coronavirus cases and three deaths on Sunday, according to data by the state government.

The state's caseload touched 2,57,876 including 14,385 active cases, 2,42,084 discharges and 1,407 deaths.

Among the new cases, the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GMHC) area reported 141 cases, the highest in the state followed by Rangareddy with 72 cases.
