Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate India's first-ever driverless train operations on the Delhi Metro's Magenta Line (Janakpuri West-Botanical Garden). Meanwhile, Jharkhand Pradesh Congress Committee will hold a 'Tiranga Yatra' today to mark the 136th foundation day of the Indian National Congress. Here is a heads-up of the important national events to look for today.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate India's first-ever driverless train operations on Delhi Metro's Magenta Line which connects Janakpuri West and Botanical Garden.

He will also launch the fully operational National Common Mobility Card (NCMC) services on the Airport Express Line via video-conferencing at 11 AM.

Jharkhand Pradesh Congress Committee (JPCC) will hold a 'Tiranga Yatra' today to mark the 136th foundation day of the Indian National Congress (INC).

The yatra will be held at the Morhabadi Ground where all the party leaders and workers are expected to take part.

With a January target to roll out the COVID-19 vaccination drive in India, the Centre is starting the dry run in four states - Punjab, Assam, Andhra Pradesh and Gujarat from today. The exercise will continue for two days, December 28 and 29, in two districts each.

The Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE) and the Department of Technical Education, which jointly conducted EAMCET-2020, have released the schedule of exercising the options for the qualified candidates.

The students who secured 1 to 60,000 ranks can enter their options on December 28 and 29 (Monday and Tuesday) and those who secured ranks from 60001 till the last rank, can exercise their options on December 30 and 31 (Wednesday and Thursday).
