New Delhi: Days ahead of the Financial Action Task Force's (FATF) plenary session in Paris, Pakistan court had sentenced Jamaat-ud-Dawa chief and UN-designated terrorist Hafiz Mohammad Saeed for 11 years imprisonment in the terror-financing case on Wednesday.
Speaking exclusively with ETV Bharat, former diplomat Anil Trigunayat, who remained a prominent part of India's foreign service for more than three decades, has denounced the entire exercise from Islamabad and declared it as a sham. He claimed that Pakistan tends to put terrorists behind bars just before any hearing against them.
Hinting towards the heinous 26/11 Mumbai terror attack which was planned by him, Trigunayat stressed that Saeed's crimes are far more worst than just terror financing.
Pakistan's anti-terrorism court found Jamaat-Ud-Dawa chief and Mumbai terror attack mastermind of having links with terrorist groups, raising funds for terrorists and having illegal property.
The plenary session of the Financial Action Task Force will begin on February 16 in Paris. During its last plenary session, the FATF gave a stern warning to Pakistan to comply with the given task until its next session or it might get blacklisted.
