RSS chief on Kashmir move

RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat on Tuesday praised PM Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah for their role in withdrawing special status to Jammu and Kashmir under Article 370. He further described lynching as a western construct and claimed that usage of the term amount to defaming the country.

Nagpur: RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat on Tuesday said that the move to modify the provisions of Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir has proved that the re-elected regime has the courage to fulfil wishes in the interest of the country.

On the occasion of Dusshera, the RSS Chief said, "The nation, by electing the new government with an increased number of seats in 2019 has endorsed its past performances and expressed a lot of expectations for the future."

"The move of the re-elected regime to nullify Article 370 has proved that it has the courage to fulfil those expectations and respect people's sentiments," he added.
