According to Ministry of Disaster Management spokeswoman Janan Sayeq, thousands of animals have also died as a result of the snowstorm. He stated that the recent snow and rain have completely or partially destroyed 637 residential homes and claimed the lives of 14,000 livestock.

At least 15 people have died in Afghanistan and dozens have suffered injuries after the country was hit by heavy snowfall and storm. The extreme weather has also destroyed residential houses and livestock.
