The burden on sportsmen has increased as the government implemented GST on Garbana Pass. Taxing the garba culture of Gujarat, garba players are resentful. Along with this, the organizers have been put in a surprise regarding their planning. Gujarati garba is appreciated not only in the civilized city, but also abroad. In Vadodara city in Gujarat, Garba Players of Navratri participate very enthusiastically and play Garba. There is resentment among Garba Lovers over the 18 percent GST this year. Vadodara Navratri festival manager Mayank Patel said that the pass price for women is 200 to 300 rupees. Only courier charges will be applied. But our organization does not charge anything regarding GST. If GST has to be paid according to the rule made by the government, then we will pay GST ourselves from the normal charge. Because Navratri is a festival of culture and worship of Amba Mataji, it is not appropriate to take money in this way. So that our organization will not charge GST on passes and spectator tickets. There is also a humble appeal to the government that GST should be withdrawn in other private projects that are planned. The cultured city of Vadodara is known globally for its Garba. So 18 percent GST in Garba has blown the color of all Garba Players. We appeal to the government to withdraw this GST soon. Garba players are saying that many young Garba players join Mataji's holy festival with great enthusiasm. Garba players are demanding that this kind of tax should not be in the cultural program if the organizers are taking the place of Garba players in the earnings. The government has imposed 18 percent GST on Garba pass and ticket, which was opposed by Vadodara city Congress. They played garba at the collector's office and demanded the withdrawal of this tax. While Vadodara's Navratri is famous, 18 percent GST has been imposed by the government on commercial garba passes and tickets, making these passes expensive. Navratri passes in Vadodara are sold from one thousand to five thousand rupees. 18 percent GST will now be charged separately on it. On this, the Congress workers, led by the Vadodara City Congress President and the Leader of the Opposition of the Vadodara Municipal Corporation, protested the GST by playing garba in the premises of the Collector's office. Activists said that till now some organizers were commercializing culture in the name of Mataji's Garba and now the government is looting by taxing. Women players should really be given free entry and youths should not be charged too much. Congress has protested today on the issue of GST on Garbana Pass. Yesterday, the Aam Aadmi Party wrote a letter to the Chief Minister of the state, Bhupendra Patel, demanding GST tax on Garba Pass. Apart from this, the Aam Aadmi Party alleged that by imposing GST on Gujarat's cultural affairs, the state government exposed the anti-Hidu mentality to the world and today, Aam Aadmi Party workers in many districts across the state also protested against GST. 18 per cent GST has been levied on the pass of garba organized by big organizers during Navratri. Congress also held an official press conference and alleged that the government has imposed GST on Mataji's festival in Gujarat and that the so-called contractor government of Hindus has imposed 18 percent GST on Garba. At that time, the Congress party has also demanded immediate removal of GST tax from Garba. In response, state spokesperson Jitu Vaghani said that the GST Council had decided to keep GST on Garba Pass. In which all the states had consent. While this decision has been taken earlier in the year 2017, this decision has not been taken now.
