A 'spy' pigeon, first spotted by the villagers at the Indo-Pak border in Rajasthan's Sri Ganganagar, was caught and handed it to the BSF officials on Sunday. During the inspection, a circular green ring was found in one of his legs which had some numbers written on it. No other device or object was found with the pigeon.

Sri Ganganagar: A suspected pigeon was found at the Indo-Pak border in Rajasthan's Sri Ganganagar on Sunday.

The pigeon was first spotted by the villagers who caught and handed it to the BSF officials immediately.

During inspection, a circular green ring was found in one of his legs which had some numbers written on it. No other device or object was found with the pigeon.

The BSF officials, after conducting a health test, handed over the pigeon to the forest department for further inspection.

The pigeon's activities are being constantly monitored by the officials.

Earlier, a pigeon, suspected to be trained in Pakistan for spying and having a ring with alphabets and numbers written on it, was captured by locals of Manyari village near the India-Pakistan international border in Kathua district of Jammu and Kashmir.

However, a Pakistani villager named Habibullah, resident of Bagga-Shakargarh village, claimed that he is the owner of the 'spy' pigeon.
