Tonk: Congress leader Sachin Pilot has won from the Tonk constituency defeating BJP's Ajit Singh Mehra by 29475 votes. According to the Election Commission website, Pilot got 105812 votes while Mehta managed 76337 votes after the completion of all 20 rounds of counting. Pilot had contested from Tonk in the 2018 Rajasthan Assembly elections and won by a margin of over 54,000 votes against the BJP's Yoonus Khan.

While Pilot managed to retain his constituency, his party lost the state to BJP as the saffron party managed to win or lead in 115 of the 199 seats. Congress was at a distant second with a lead in 70 seats.

In 2018, the Congress won the state in a majority bringing the Vasundhara Raje government to an end. Ashok Gehlot became the chief minister and Sachin Pilot his deputy but what followed was a long infighting inside the Congress which cost Sachin Pilot the deputy chief minister post in 2020.

Voting was held in 199 of 200 Rajasthan Assembly seats on December 25. Polling in Sriganganagar's Karanpur seat was postponed due to the death of Congress candidate Gurmeet Singh Koonar.
