Mangaluru: BJP National President JP Nadda visited the house of Praveen Nettaru, the BJP Yuva Morcha leader, who was hacked to death with lethal weapons by miscreants in July 2022. Nadda, who campaigned for the party candidates in the Karnataka Assembly elections, paid a visit to Praveen's house. Slain BJP Yuva Morch leader's parents and wife greeted Nadda with a bouquet and shawl when he arrived at their residence at Bellare village in Sulya taluk of Dakshina Kannada district on Sunday.
BJP State President Nalin Kumar Kateel accompanied JP Nadda on the occasion. Nadda paid his homage to Praveen by offering floral tributes to his portrait. Later, he interacted with the family members and visited the new house constructed for the family by the BJP. A new house has been built for Praveen Nettaru's family under the supervision of BJP state president Nalin Kumar. The housewarming ceremony is slated for April 27.

Nadda spoke to Praveen's father Shekhar Poojari, mother Ratnavathi and wife Nutana for some time. Nadda had tea and interacted with the bereaved family. He reassured the youth leader's parents that the entire country and the party are with them. Later, speaking to the media, Nadda said, "Today I got the opportunity to visit the residence of BJP Yuva Morcha leader Praveen Nettaru, who was killed by miscreants belonging to SDPI and PFI. Our government has banned SDPI and PFI and has registered cases against the killers of Praveen. The BJP government has done everything possible for his family. I came here to pay my tributes to Praveen and meet his family members."
