Farmers in Sirsa protested in a unique way against the rising prices of petrol and diesel. The farmers started their demonstration from the Bhagat Singh Stadium and ended at Baba Bhuman Shah Chowk.

Sirsa (Haryana): Farmers in Sirsa protested in a unique way against the rising prices of petrol and diesel. The farmers started their demonstration from the Bhagat Singh Stadium and ended at Baba Bhuman Shah Chowk.

In view of this protest by the farmers, the police administration had made elaborate arrangements. The administration closed the roads leading to the residence of Cabinet Minister Ranjit Chautala and Deputy Chief Minister Dushyant Chautala with barricades.

Farmers protested against the increased prices of petrol and diesel in a unique way. They used a camel to pull a car with a rope. Farmers said that on the call of United Kisan Morcha, farmers across the country have demonstrated against the rising prices of petrol-diesel and cooking gas. Farmer leader Prahlad Singh said that the common man has become upset due to the rising petrol and diesel prices.

Taking a jibe at the government, the farmer leader said that when this party was in opposition, these people used to take to the streets due to the rising inflation. Now the government has raised the price of petrol by Rs 100 per litre and the price of cooking gas by Rs 1000 per cylinder. This has become a big problem for the common man.
