Delhi Police detain Congress leaders, seize tractor

The Delhi Police has detained Congress General Secretary Randeep Singh Surjewala and India Youth Congress President Srinivas BV today. The Delhi Police have detained the two Congress leaders from Vijay Chowk around 10 am. They have been taken to the Mandir Marg police station.

New Delhi: The Delhi Police has detained Congress General Secretary Randeep Singh Surjewala and India Youth Congress President Srinivas BV today. The Delhi Police have detained the two Congress leaders from Vijay Chowk around 10 am. They have been taken to the Mandir Marg police station. Earlier, in the morning, Congress leader Raul Gandhi, who has been supporting the farmers' movement since the beginning, surprised everyone by driving a tractor on the way to Parliament House. Rahul reached the Parliament and said that this is the message of the farmers. He said that the agricultural laws are black laws and should be immediately revoked.

As soon as Rahul Gandhi reached the Parliament, he handed over the tractor to Congress leader Randeep Singh Surjewala and IYC President Srinivas BV. At the same time, Delhi Police arrived on the spot and detained the two Congress leaders. Both the leaders are currently sitting in Mandir Marg police station. The Delhi Police have also seized the tractor.

Meanwhile, aggrieved Congress workers are outside the Mandir Marg police station. According to them, the Government of India and Delhi Police are afraid of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, that's why they didn't detain him and instead arrested Randeep Surjewala and Srinivas BV. Some Congress workers believe that if Delhi Police had detained Rahul Gandhi, then it could have been a big case. So due to fear, Delhi Police couldn't detain Rahul Gandhi.
