Leader of opposition in Bihar legislative assembly Tejashwi Yadav has once again claimed that the Nitish Kumar government will fall within three months. Senior JDU leader and chairman of parliamentary board committee Upendra Kushwaha slammed Tejashwi for his remarks and said that nobody in the world can dare to shake the Nitish government and it will complete its full five-year term," writes ETV Bharat's Amit Bhelari.

Patna: Leader of opposition in Bihar legislative assembly Tejashwi Yadav has once again claimed that the Nitish Kumar government will fall within three months. Tejashwi made the statement while addressing his supporters during a visit to his assembly constituency Raghopur in Vaishali district on Friday.

While responding to a query about the dilapidated condition of the road, Tejashwi said, “Don't worry, just wait for two to three months, the government is going to fall.”

This is not the first time that Tejashwi and RJD leaders have made the claim of the NDA government falling in Bihar. Earlier also on several occasions, similar statements were made by the opposition leaders in Bihar.

In December 2020, Tejashwi had predicted midterm polls in Bihar. During a meeting with the state unit leader, Tejashwi had asked the party workers and leaders to be ready for the midterm poll. Tejashwi had claimed that the NDA government would fall after Kharmas (inauspicious month) which came to an end on January 14, 2021. It's been almost six months but nothing has happened to the NDA government in Bihar.

By giving the statement regarding the fall of Nitish's government, Tejashwi has created ripples in Bihar politics after which the leaders of the ruling party called him a daydreamer.

RJD emerged as the single largest party in the recently concluded assembly polls with 75 seats while the opposition altogether has 110 seats.

Nitish's JDU went down to third place in the Bihar poll and has created a narrative that the incumbent CM is not the same and he has become weak now. It is evident from the fact that JDU won only 43 seats whereas BJP secured victory on 74 seats when Nitish was the face of NDA.

Going by numbers, the NDA includes BJP-74, JDU-43, HAM -04 and VIP-04. Whereas the opposition includes RJD with 75 MLAs followed by Congress-19, CPIML–12, CPM-02 and CPI-02.

Apart from this Asaduddin Owaisi of All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) has 5 MLAs, LJP -1, BSP-1 and one Independent supporting Nitish. Interestingly, both the lone MLAs of BSP and LJP have joined the fold of JDU taking their number to 45.

Senior JDU leader and chairman of parliamentary board committee Upendra Kushwaha slammed Tejashwi for his remarks and said that nobody in the world can dare to shake the Nitish government and it will complete its full five-year term."

"The way he is claiming that many JDU MLAs are in touch with him, in a similar way I want to say that many RJD MLAs are in touch with me. Anything can happen in politics. Nobody in the world can dare to shake the government of Nitish ji in Bihar. We will complete the full five years term," Kushwaha stressed.

BJP spokesperson Akhilesh Singh also took a dig at Tejashwi alleging that the people of Raghopur are feeling cheated that their leaders were missing for the past two months at the time of the second wave of Covid.

Binod Sharma, another BJP spokesperson said, “Whatever Tejashwi Yadav had said about the falling of Nitish ji's government in Bihar is nothing but a big joke. He is daydreaming now. Most of the time he is missing and it seems he has gone to his assembly constituency for the first time after winning the election. His own people were angry at him and Tejashwi knew it very well so just to cool down their anger he made this joke.”

JDU spokesperson Abhishek Jha said, “Tejashwi Yadav is the migratory leader and for long the people of his constituency were searching for him. In fact, missing posters were put up by the people of Raghopur. His party spokespersons have been issuing comments that the government will fall after Kharmas and Holi and Dussehra but nothing has happened so far.”

Even HAM spokesperson Danish Rizwan slammed Tejashwi for his remarks claiming that to remove Nitish from the post of CM, Tejashwi has to first work like him which he will never do.

“Everybody has the right to daydream, but to fulfil those dreams one has to work hard. But unfortunately, Tejashwi was working hard in Delhi then how come he will become CM of Bihar. I must congratulate him for daydreaming,” Rizwan said.
