After England's much talked about victory in Chennai, Pietersen took to Twitter and poked fun at Team India with a Tweet in Hindi, saying that he had warned the hosts to not be overconfident after their historic win Down Under.

Hyderabad: Former English skipper Kevin Pietersen on Tuesday brutally trolled Virat Kohli-led Team India, after their 227 run loss to England in the opening Test match of four-match series.

After England's much talked about victory in Chennai, Pietersen took to Twitter and poked fun at Team India with a Tweet in Hindi, saying that he had warned the hosts to not be overconfident after their historic win Down Under.

"India , yaad hai maine pehele hi chetawani di thi ke itna jasn na manaye jab aapne Australia ko unke ghar pe haraya tha", tweeted Pietersen.

Last month, after India retained the Border-Gavaskar trophy in Australia with 2-1 win, the Englishman had taken to Twitter to warn India about their upcoming series against England.

He had tweeted, "India - yeh aitihaasik jeet ka jashn manaye kyuki yeh sabhi baadhao ke khilaap hasil hui hai LEKIN , ASLI TEAM toh kuch hafto baad a rahi hai jisse aapko harana hoga apne ghar mein . Satark rahe , 2 saptaah mein bahut adhik jashn manaane se saavadhaan rahen".

Earlier, riding on Joe Root's brilliant double century and some valuable contribution from Jack Leach and James Anderson with the ball, England defeated India by 227 runs.

With this win, England have taken a lead of 1-0 in the four-match Test series. England will next face India in the second Test match, in Chennai's MA Chidambaram Stadium, from February 13.
