'Hyderabad: Taking India and the US bonhomie to the next level, the White House followed Prime Minister Narendra Modi on its Twitter account making him the only world leader to be followed by President Donald Trump's official residence.
The White House follows 19 people on Twitter which includes PM Modi, Prime Minister's office and President Ram Nath Kovind. Surprisingly, Modi and President Kovind are two non-American leaders to be followed by the White House.
Moreover, the White House also follows the US Embassy in India and Indian Embassy in Washington on the micro-blogging site.
Notably, the development came after India agreed to export anti-malarial drug hydroxychloroquine to the US to fight against the COVID-19 pandemic following talks between PM Modi and President Trump.
After India's move to send the essesntial drug, President Trump thanked PM Modi and said New Delhi's help 'will never be forgotten.'
