11-day-old infant dies of Covid in Shimla

The death of an 11-day-old infant due to Covid has come to light in Indira Gandhi Medical College & Hospital, Shimla. According to the information, the child had tested positive on Saturday evening and was being treated for the same at the IGMC.

Shimla (Himachal Pradesh): In Shimla's Indira Gandhi Medical College & Hospital, an 11-day-old baby died due to COVID-19 on Sunday.

The infant tested positive on Saturday evening and was being treated for the same at the hospital.

Around five other people too died of COVID-19 in the district on Sunday, in which the first case is of a 65-year-old woman from Nahan, Sirmour, who was admitted to IGMC Hospital on 1 June.

The second case is of a 50-year-old patient from Ghumarwin, Bilaspur, while the third case is of a 57-year-old man from Nohradhar, Sirmaur.

The fourth case is of 36-year-old Theog Sandhu, who was brought to IGMC on June 6 and the fifth case is of a 70-year-old woman from Sarkaghat, Mandi district who was admitted on May 26.
