India hands back Pak boy who crossed border while playing

The Border Security Force took the 10-year-old into custody on September 8 and returned him to Pakistan Rangers the next day

Ferozepur (Punjab): In a goodwill gesture, the Border Security Force (BSF) has handed over a 10-year-old Pakistani boy to Pakistan Rangers on September 8. The boy accidentally crossed into Indian territory while playing in the fields.

The BSF arrested the boy named Balli near Tower No. 145/07 on September 7 around 10 pm. The boy accompanied his grandfather on the Pakistani side to irrigate the fields and mistakenly entered Indian territory while playing.

BSF approached the Pakistan Rangers on September 8 and handed over the minor boy around 10.55am, citing humanitarian ground. This year, BSF has handed over 10 inadvertent border crossers to Pakistan Rangers as a goodwill gesture.
