Paralympian Suhas LY's badminton bid reaches crores in e-auction

The price of the racket of silver medalist in badminton at Tokyo Paralympics has reached 10 crores on the very first day of the e-auction. The money generated in the e-auction will be invested in the Namami Gange Mission of the Government of India

New Delhi: The price of the racket of Suhas Lalinakere Yathiraj, silver medalist in badminton at Tokyo Paralympics has reached 10 crores in the e-auction conducted by the central government.

On the very first day of the auction, the bid of Yathiraj, serving as District Magistrate from Gautam Budh Nagar, has reached 10 crores, while its base price was kept 50 lakhs.

This auction is conducted on the central government's website 'PM Mementos'. The money generated in the e-auction will be invested in the Namami Gange Mission of the Government of India.

The e-auction, being organised by the Ministry of Culture, started on Friday and will continue till October 7. This is the third edition of such an auction, in which persons or organisations can participate via the website: https://pmmementos.gov.in.

Notably, this e-auction was conducted to bid the gifts and mementos received by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
