Ratnagiri: Union Minister of MSMEs Narayan Rane is to resume 'Jan Aashirwad Yatra' from Friday. He will arrive at Ratnagiri and start his visit which was interrupted with his arrest.

Recently, the Nationalist Congress Party taking a dig at the Bharatiya Janata Party accused the latter of threatening the ministers and leaders of the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) government. The NCP is an ally of the ruling party in Maharashtra.

NCP spokesperson and state minister Nawab Malik said the BJP can misuse the power of the central government, but no leader from Maharashtra was afraid of the party's "shallow threats".

Shiv Sena's mouthpiece had also fired a salvo at the BJP over the row. "If he (Rane) thinks he has become great or unusual as a minister in Modi's Union Cabinet, then it is certain that Modi will take the air out of his head. Prime Minister Modi is everything in his cabinet. Ministers come and go. If Modi considers himself a 'fakir' and Rane thinks he is great, the latter needs to understand the difference. Hence, there should be no doubt in Fadnavis' mind that Rane is a 'guest' in the Union Cabinet for a few days," Saamna stated.

Rane's 'slap Uddhav' remark sparked controversy in Maharashtra and Shiv Sena, BJP members tussled over it. Maharashtra also witnessed protests over the row.

Maharashtra High Court will hear Rane's petition on September 17 and the court said no action will be sought against Rane till September 17. Rane was granted bail by the magistrate court in Mahad in Raigad district after his arrest on Tuesday.

The 69-year-old minister claimed that Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray forgot the year of independence during his Independence day address and had to check with his aide in the middle of his speech. The controversial remark was made by Rane during a public meeting on August 23 during "Jan Aashirwad Yatra".
