Hyderabad: The Telangana High Court on Wednesday granted conditional bail to state BJP MLA T Raja Singh here. Singh was earlier arrested by the police on August 25 for inciting tensions in society under PD Act and was lodged to Charlapally Jail.
The division bench has posed restrictions on Singh and stated that he cannot make provocative comments, cannot hold rallies on release from jail, and cannot post videos on social media for three months.
Singh's wife Usha had filed a petition in the High Court against the registration of the PD Act by the police and the Advocate General had filed a counter on the government's behalf. Singh's lawyer Ravichandar had argued against the counter filed by the government and referred to the previous judgments of the Supreme Court.
