Farooq Abdullah expresses shock over killing of pharmacist Bindroo

Expressing shock over the killing of businessman Makhan Lala Bindroo, Abdullah said an innocent person has been killed. He visited Bindroo's residence early on Wednesday and expressed his sympathies with the bereaved family.

Srinagar: National Conference President Farooq Abdullah expressed solidarity with the family of prominent Kashmiri pandit businessman Makhan Lala Bindroo who was shot dead by suspected militants on Tuesday.

Farooq Abdullah arrived at Bindroo's residence Wednesday morning and consoled his son Dr. Siddharth Bindroo. Expressing shock over the killing of Bindroo, Abdullah said an innocent person has been killed.

Makhan Lala Bindroo, owner of the famous Bindroo Medicate at Iqbal Park in Srinagar was shot while he was at his pharmacy. He was rushed to a nearby hospital in a critical condition where he succumbed to his injuries.

Local people, as well as leaders, have been reaching Bindroo's residence in the Sanwar area of ​​Srinagar to express their sympathies with the bereaved family.

Dr. Siddharth Bindroo said that the entire family was in shock and he was saddened that an innocent man who had served the common people in the valley all his life had been killed.

Political parties have strongly condemned the killing of civilians that rocked Kashmir on Tuesday.
