Raipur (Chhattisgarh): Gaurishankar Srivas, spokesperson of state Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Chhattisgarh, on Sunday flayed Congress' MLA Brihaspati Singh for accusing BJP of conspiring to destabilise the Bhupesh Baghel-led government in the state. The BJP leader said that the Congress MLA is not in a sound mental condition and that he needs to get treated in a hospital. He further also advised Congress that a person like Singh should be monitored and not be left alone.

Earlier, the senior Congress MLA had reiterated that rumours about a tussle between Health Minister TS Singh Deo and Baghel were manufactured by BJP and a conspiracy has been hatched to instigate Deo against the strong government in the state. Amid speculations of transfer of power in the state, the total number of Congress MLAs camping in the national capital at present is claimed to be 35.

"Saraguja Maharaj (Deo) is an intelligent and bonafide leader and he wouldn't fall in the trap of BJP like other two Maharajas (referring to Scindia and Captain Amarinder)," Brihaspati Singh had said.

Sources confirmed that the MLAs will stay put in the national capital for a few more days and leave after meeting either party general secretary K.C. Venugopal or Rajya Sabha member P.L. Punia.

In a democracy everyone is free to exercise their opinion," Deo further said, adding that in a political environment even personal work gets politicised.
