New Delhi: Indian Youth Congress on Monday held a demonstration seeking an inquiry into the leaked Whatsapp chats of controversial news anchor Arnab Goswami. The leaked conversations between Goswami and former BARC Chief Executive Officer Partho Dasgupta had purportedly revealed that the former had prior knowledge of Balakot airstrikes.
The protest was led by IYC President Srinivas BV in front of Shastri Bhawan in Delhi. Hundreds of Youth Congress members burnt effigies of Arnab Goswami as well as Prime Minister Narendra Modi and raised slogans against the Central Government over the matter.
While speaking to the media, Srinivas said, "Those who won the elections on the name of Pulwama, who are calling farmers 'anti-nationalists', how can they even talk about nationalism? They can send NIA notice to the farmers but they cannot take any action against Arnab Goswami who had put a threat over the national security."
"How did Arnab Goswami get to know about Balakot airstrike, that too three days before? Who leaked this information to him? This is a major security failure and should be investigated. This is a serious matter pertaining to the national security of the country," he further added.

Congress is also planning to hold a large scale press conference in the coming hours to corner the government over this matter and demand a serious probe.
