Raipur: Fifteen MLAs of Chhattisgarh Congress are in Delhi due to which the political turmoil in the state is at its peak. Meanwhile, in a conversation with the media, MLA Brihaspati Singh said that the reason for MLAs coming to Delhi is to meet Rahul Gandhi. Due to Covid-19, Rahul Gandhi has postponed his tour to Chhattisgarh twice. The MLAs will also meet PL Puniya, who is Chhattisgarh Congress In-Charge. "We will urge Rahul Gandhi to extend his tour of Bastar by few more days," Singh added.

According to political experts, CM Bhupesh Baghel is once again trying to prove his political prowess in Delhi. This could also be an attempt to shore up his image in the eyes of central leadership and prove that he has the support of majority of MLAs.

Experts believe that there is a big difference between Chhattisgarh and Punjab. Chhattisgarh has the highest representation of OBC class, so Rahul Gandhi appointed a CM from the same community. Congress has the support of 70 MLAs with Bhupesh Baghel at the helm. Around 60 MLAs are also supporting Baghel. In Chhattisgarh, the government cannot be shaken to satisfy 'one' person.
