Dharamshala: Tibetan spiritual leader Dalai Lama, who was admitted to a private hospital in Delhi for treatment after being diagnosed with chest infection, returned to Dharamshala on Friday.
"Fully recovered. No problem. The illness was a little serious, but now I have fully recovered," said Dalai Lama while speaking to the media.
On April 7, Dalai Lama was taken to Delhi after he complained of discomfort in his chest.
Awaiting his arrival, several followers of Dalai Lama reached the airport to get a glimpse of their spiritual leader.
"We were worried because his health was not so good since the past one month. We heard that he was just discharged from the hospital so we came here with flowers to greet him, " said one of the followers.
The Dalai Lama, 83, was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 1989.
