Firefighters battle to contain California wildfire
Fire crews tried to contain a large wildfire burning in Southern California on Saturday as several evacuation orders and warnings were in place. The blaze, dubbed the Apple Fire, was reported on Friday in Cherry Valley, an unincorporated area near the city of Beaumont in Riverside County. According to the Riverside County Fire Department, as of 3 pm local time (2200GMT) the fire covered 4,125 acres and remained 0% contained. Footage showed firefighters battled the blaze from the ground and air, while at least 200 homes in the area had been evacuated.
