New Delhi: India's Border Security Force (BSF) has put its personnel on high alert along the western frontier following intelligence inputs that Pakistan based terrorist outfits with the help of the Taliban will try to enter India to carry out subversive activities.
Intelligence agencies in India have alerted all the border guarding agencies as well as security forces of such possible attempts by the Pakistan based terrorist outfits.
Speaking to ETV Bharat on Tuesday a senior BSF official said that they have come across such inputs where Pakistan based terrorist outfits might take the help of the Taliban to create chaos in India.
"We have put our personnel on maximum alert. There is every possibility that terrorists from Pakistan might try to sneak into India," said the official on condition of anonymity.
It may be mentioned here that immediately after taking charge as BSF DG, Prakash Kumar Singh visited the frontier locations at LoC in Kashmir. Singh also reviewed the preparedness of the force. The visit of the BSF DG along the western border comes at a time when there are reports that terrorists might try to sneak into India.
When asked about the eastern frontiers (border with Bangladesh), the official said that an alert has been sounded along the India-Bangladesh border too.
