Kenya Bridge Collapse

A dam collapsed in western Kenya, killing at least 40 people, causing water to flood through houses and cut off a major road. The Old Kijabe Dam, prone to flash floods, collapsed, causing mud, rocks, and uprooted trees to spill downstream. Heavy rains have already killed nearly 100 people and delayed school openings.
