Europe's fixers demand the 'Right to Repair'

For their pockets - and the planet - Europe's fixers are demanding the 'Right to Repair'. In a sharp turnaround, Apple recently said it would let some iPhone users fix their own smartphones. But campaigners in Europe say current legislation doesn't go far enough and they want an EU-wide version of a "repairability index" first seen in France.
