Watch: Yoga teacher sets world record by performing Surya Namaskar

A 25-year-old yoga instructor from Pithoragarh of Uttarakhand has registered his name in the International Book of Records by breaking the world record of Surya Namaskar. A Vijay Prakash Joshi, who teaches yoga asanas to children at General BC Joshi Army Public School of Pithoragarh, achieved a feat by doing Surya Namaskar 21 times in a minute. He has become the fastest person in the world to do Surya Namaskar by performing 252 asanas in a minute. And not just this, the students of Vijay have also set 11 new world records in advanced yoga on August 30. Vijay's achievement is a result of his daily four-hour practice for three consecutive months. Vijay told that he has also applied for Limca Book and Golden Book of World Records too. He gives credit to his parents and elder brother for his achievement. Vijay says that he will keep trying till he gets 20 world records under his name. Earlier, he registered his name in the India Book of Records by snapping his fingers 100 times in 30 seconds. He has finished Masters in Yogacharya from Uttarakhand Sanskriti University.
