Strongly opposing Aryan Khan's bail plea, the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) said that since he is an influential person, he could tamper with evidence or influence witnesses and may flee from justice. The court later in the day reserved the bail order for October 20 thus leaving the Aryan Khan in judicial custody till then.

Mumbai: Sessions Court reserved the bail order for Aryan Khan for October 20. Khan will be in judicial custody till then. Additional Solicitor General told the court that it is likely that Aryan Khan will flee the country. ASG said that Khan is in contact with international drug trafficking network.

NCB officials are working day and night to free the youth from this addiction and to crack down on this issue. Drugs available in the country and abroad are causing huge losses to society and college students. So we are taking this matter seriously. The matter is currently under investigation, NCB opposed Khan's bail.

Sessions Court Judge VV Patil heard Aryan Khan's bail application, Aryan Khan's lawyer Amit Desai and his team were present in the court. Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) felt that looking at Aryan's reputation in society, if he comes out, it could affect the investigation. Hence, it opposed granting bail to him as evidence can be tampered with and pressure can be exerted on the witnesses.

The NCB submitted its reply only on the application of Aryan, Arbaaz and Moonmoon on Wednesday. The NCB's statement came during a hearing of the bail applications of Aryan Khan, Arbaaz Merchant, Munmun Dhamecha, Mohak Jaswal, Nupur Satija, Aachit Kumar, Shreyas Nair and Avin Sahu before Special NDPS Judge VV Patil. Since the arguments remained incomplete, the matter will continue on Thursday afternoon. It may be recalled that Aryan Khan and seven others were arrested on October 3.

Khan's lawyers, senior advocates Amit Desai and Satish Maneshinde argued that Aryan Khan was not present during the rave party raid on the cruise ship, had no cash to buy drugs, nor had any narcotics on him. The NCB's allegations came in its reply opposing the bail applications of Aryan Khan, Merchant and Dhamecha.

It said there is prima facie sufficient material evidence in the form of WhatsApp chats and photos showing that Aryan Khan was an active link of the illegal drugs chain, along with the other accused. The reply stated that the arrests of the other suppliers and accused form part of a larger chain, nexus and involvement in a conspiracy. Desai, however, described the NCB allegations of drug trafficking as false since he was not even on the ship during the raids, but the NCB said Aryan Khan used to get his drugs from Merchant.
