Jabalpur (MP): The heath of Shankaracharya Swami Swaroopanand Saraswati, who is admitted to a private hospital in Jabalpur, deteriorated on Wednesday, hospital sources said.
Swami Swaroopanand, 96, was rushed to the hospital on January 22 after he complained of breathlessness.
Earlier, Swaroopanand's, disciples showed him to the doctors in Madhya Pradesh's Gotegaon from where the doctors referred him to Jabalpur.
Shankaracharya was present at the Sakal Ghat Ashram in Narsinghpur district late yesterday where his health deteriorated.
According to sources, the heath of Swami Shankaracharya is improving but he is likely to be kept under observation for the next 2 to 3 days.
