Davanagere (Karnataka): The journey of Eenadu Group Chairman Ramoji Rao was captured in a book by a writer from Karnataka's Davanagere. The book includes Rao's journey as a journalist, film producer and a successful man.
Authored by V Hanumanthappa, "Akshara Yodha Ramoji Rao", is based on the life and experience of Ramoji Rao. The book was released by actor Saikumar in Siddaganga School, Davanagere.
According to the Karnataka-based Journalist, he used to regularly read the editorial and other write-ups written by Ramoji Rao. "After reading his article, I was so much inspired and influenced that I started working as an Eenadu contributor," Hanumanthappa said.
Being a great fan of Ramoji Rao, Hanumanthappa collected maximum information on Ramoji Rao's life and collected related photos from '75 Vasanthakala Velugu' and other special editions of Eenadu papers.
Releasing the book, Sai Kumar said, "Ramoji Rao is a great personality. He was born in a farmer's family and reached the peak of success. He does not seek publicity. He is the real 'Akshara Yodha' born in south India."
This book chronicles the life journey of Ramoji Rao, how he started Eenadu, a newspaper which is the largest circulated Telugu daily in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana and ETV, a news broadcasting TV channel.
Ramoji Rao was also honoured with 'Padma Vibushan', the country's highest civilian award for his contributions to journalism.
