Chinese infiltration will not be tolerated in India: Himachal CM

Jai Ram Thakur, Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister on Thursday asserted no infiltration will be allowed in the Indian territory. CM Jai Ram Thakur was on a two-day visit to Mandi district. Earlier, he reviewed the work of construction at sanskrit sadan in Kangni and later held a review meeting with officials.

Shimla: Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur on Thursday said that the state government is fully aware of the antics of China and no infiltration will be tolerated here.

He further elaborated that the security agencies have already issued a high alert across many states.

Thakur was on a two-day visit to Mandi district. Earlier, he reviewed the work of construction at Sanskrit Sadan in Kangni and later held a review meeting with officials.

"Amid India-China ongoing standoff, one person has been detained. The investigation is underway and the central government is doing everything in its capacity to strengthen security in border areas," Thakur said.

New Delhi and Beijing are engaged in a standoff since April-May over the transgressions by the Chinese Army in multiple areas including Finger area, Galwan Valley, Hot springs and Kongrung Nala.

The talks between the two sides have been going on for the last few months including five Lieutenant general-level talks but have failed to yield any results, so far.

However, the ministry said that the Indian side is firmly committed to resolving all outstanding issues along the LAC in the Western Sector through peaceful dialogue.
