Taking note to the particular issue, a young educationist and entrepreneur, Anupama Das of Delhi's Patel Nagar area has started an online-based education platform named 'Power Kid'.

With her small initiative, Anupama has so far connected more than 700 people which includes students, teachers, principals and parents. The hour-long video conferencing sessions in the evening include several such activities which engage children in a very entertaining way.

ETV Bharat covered a session conducted by Anupama where 70 students of different age groups were participating in Power Kid education via Zoom App. The students all from different schools and states, join and come together on a single platform to attend the sessions being conducted by Anupama Das. The interesting part is that she does not charge anything from anyone.

Speaking to ETV Bharat, Anupama said, "My vision and mission is very clear, the power of youth is huge and humongous. They have huge learning abilities and we just need to understand that children need a push at this time. Their energy needs to be directed to some productive task."

"The very first thing that I try is to make children comfortable with some entertainment so that they will be able to understand what other person is trying to tell them. I have seen a commendable change in them after attending the 20-days session," she said.

Anupama also helped to bring a rural school in Ramakona of Madhya Pradesh on Zoom and now the school is conducting online classes on a regular basis.

"The principal of that school contacted me after attending a few of my sessions. He requested me to help him and his teachers to learn about online classes and how to conduct it in a rural area. The internet connectivity is there but people are not that aware of it. They don't know how to use video conferencing platform, so I decided to help them and it turned out to be quite successful," Anupama added.

Anupama's initiatives for society during the lockdown does not end here only. She has also taken the responsibility of street dogs during the lockdown period and started feeding them.
