New Delhi: Sources in the government said that Union Home Ministry will sign the accord on September 4 with as many as six militant outfits of Karbi Anglong and NC Hills.

A representative from the Assam government will also be present as a signatory of the accord which is believed to be framed to bring everlasting peace in the insurgency-hit state.

A 150 member delegation from six different outfits including Karbi Longri and NC Hills Liberation Front (KLNLF), Karbi People's Liberation Tigers (KPLT), Ran Rongpi faction of KPLT, ceasefire (Donri Kramsa faction) and KPLT Mensing Kramsa faction, United People's Liberation Army (UPLA) and People's Democratic Council of Karbi Angling will be reaching New Delhi on Thursday.

"A verbal communication has already been intimated to the leaders of the outfits," said a home ministry official. However, before the three sides signed the agreement, face-to-face interaction will take place between them for finalizing the agreement.
