Sohail Khan and Seema Sachdev's love story started off as a screenplay straight out of a film.

Trouble in the paradise of Sohail Khan and Seema Khan was making headlines for years. The couple, who was living separately for several years now has filed for divorce on May 13, 2022 in Mumbai court.

The younger brother of superstar Salman Khan married girlfriend Seema in 1998 after few months of dating.

Back then , Seema who hails from Delhi was living in Mumbai to pursue her career in fashion designing.

Sohail met Seema for the first time while shooting for the film Pyaar Kiya To Darna Kya.

Both started dating each other and decided to exchange vows.

The journey ahead was not easy as Seema's family rejected the interfaith marriage.

Left with no choice, Seema and Sohail then tied the not in an Arya Samaj wedding before the nikkah in evening same day.

Sohail and Seema welcomed their first child, son Nirvan Khan in 2000 and their second son Yohan was born in 2011 via surrogacy.

Reports of Seem moving out of their Bandra house and going back to living with her parents made headlines in 2016.

Seema's absence from Sohail's sister Arpita Khan Sharma's baby shower added fuel to the rumours about all is not well between the two. At Arpita's baby shower, Sohail was seen with their son.

Then came Valentine's Day when Seema posted a heart-touching message about being a parent saying, "the best Valentine's are the ones you brought into the world yourself." She further added, "There is nothing better than giving your child your heart..."

Talking about her relationship with Sohail in one of the sequences on the show The Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives, Seema had said that in life relationships meander and go into different directions.

Seema had also said that she and Sohail are not a conventional marriage but are a family and the happiness of their children matters at the end of the day.

The estranged couple were spotted leaving the Family Court in Mumbai as the paparazzi snapped them from afar. Seema and Sohail have not yet released an official statement on their divorce.
